I’m having mixed feelings about this. The writing style isn’t quite resonating with me, and I find myself only mildly engaged with the story so far. Perhaps I should give it a few more chapters to see if it picks up?

I appreciate all the recommendations for this book, as many people seem to adore it, but unfortunately, it hasn't resonated with me. The writing style isn’t quite my preference, and I haven’t formed a strong connection with the characters or the story. Reading it has felt more like a chore than a pleasure, and I'm disappointed that I can’t share the same enthusiasm that others do.

Anna ʚɞ Never seen this book before but it sounds interesting! Im so bad at dnf so im definitely not the person to ask but i'd always recommend reading a bit further into any book before deciding 😭

Amanda As someone who loves this series I say give it a little more time. The first one takes a bit to pick up. If by 30 to 40% done and you're still not into it then it might not be the book for you.

Thanks! I'm curious about it too. I’ll let you know what I think once I've finished reading. Have you read anything similar that you enjoyed?

I totally get that! Sometimes it takes a little while for a book to really grab you. I appreciate the suggestion to read a bit more before deciding. Have you had any recent reads that surprised you?

Thanks for the advice, Amanda! I appreciate knowing that it picks up later. I'll definitely give it some more time and see how it goes. I'm looking forward to diving back in!
