When I look at the percentage of a book left and go "ugh, I'm not close to the end yet?" that's never a good sign. I love the concepts in this book, I just hate almost all of the characters. The constant naval gazing doesn't really help much either. Or the fact that I'm not even half-way through the book and there's been like, three sex scenes and two bathing scenes... nudity does not an interesting book make.
