Now the man is wondering if his kids will even love him when he grows up, and I have the answer, they won’t cuz he doesn’t even love them! This perspective is insufferable.

I started reading this again for class and it’s getting worse. Why is this man whose perspective started with talking about how he doesn’t like to shower or brush his teeth calling women sluts for wearing “too much” makeup. This first pov is so disgusting and misogynistic. If anything, he needs makeup to distract from his filth.

One page in and I fucking hate it. I joked that I probably wouldn’t like it cuz it was written by a man and then I felt bad, but as soon as I read the first page I was proven correct. Already it’s competing for the worst book I’ve ever read, and is only further proving my point that men just don’t write as good as women.
