Meh. Both protagonists are really annoying in different ways. Has the depth of a cracker.

This is actually pretty boring. Things get picked up and dropped, the suspense factor is low on excitement and actual suspense. Names get changed mid paragaph (although am reading an arc, so that could be subject to change I suppose).. and generally.. doesn't make for a great read.

There is a lot to love about this book, but unlike many others, I'm *NOT* enamored with the romance. The hero asks a lot of the heroine without giving too much in return.. and makes her vow not to leave him, ever. (Breaking a vow constitutes a really painful punishment) And well, the side characters outshine the hero in terms of personality. So yeah.

The whale can be wise, dolphins are smart and clever and the fish, they forget quickly. Such scintillating characterizations already! Or possibly a clue as to what I'm in for the more I keep reading.

I've heard from several sources that this is fucking terrible, but I'm going in anyways. I need to see for myself.

If you buy books because the blurb reminds you of one your favorite books, you will most likely be disappointed.

I'd really like to read a book where being poverty stricken has *NOTHING* to do with drugs and addiction. It's not this book unfortunately. Could also do with w/out the drug addled stripper sister. Because that's never been done :\ *shrug* I'm dnfing for now. May come back later.

This book will easily be on my best of 2015 list. It's a gorgeous book. hero/heroine become friends before lovers.. and it's very romantic.

What the fuck is this shit? A "boyfriend" that resembles more of a stalker/wannabe rapist, a drunk mother, a grandma that calls her a whore..and poor as dirt? Geezus, really? It's coming across as really unbalanced on her end.. christ.

Yarvi the protag is an interesting character. The worldbuilding leaves a little to be desired, but lots of interesting ideas.

I don't know what to say. It reads more like a procedural than anything else. Suffers from first book syndrome with the information overload.

This whole book defines WTF. Not sold on Evie or Jack. Confusing, convoluted. I mean, I'm still reading it - which speaks volumes.. but it's weird, and not in a good way.

This is an odd combination of cartoonishly stupid and pretty good.
