A good start to Tommy and Tuppence!

The first time I read this book it was the summer of 2018 after college graduation. This is my second read through. Still my favorite book. I notice I'm able to read it with a different perspective now; I'm less hungry for answers.

I think this will be a DNF for now. I wanted a nice light beach read, but I forgot that beach reads written by white women usually include some sort of deeply unpleasant and emotional family drama. In this case, Evvie's dead husband was definitely emotionally abusive and possibly physically, though I haven't read far enough to say. I was hoping more for a YA-romance-but-for-adults type of book.
