I'm torn. This is radicalizing, but disorganized, bad at including the developing world, and pretty male-centric. Little notice so far has been paid to the unpaid and service economies. It's also much less of a thought experiment than a series of mini essays about reducing consumption. Still fascinating and to be recommended, and I'll reserve final judgement until I finish the "what next" final section.

Teresa is on page 14 of 624 of Eve: How the Female Body Drove 200 Million Years of Human Evolution
Only 14 pages in and already this is funny, insightful, engagingly written, and important. Good for Cat for striking a good balance between readable and academic (through extensive foot- and end-noting), and not being afraid to be funny! The absurdities of uteri are indeed worth a chuckle and headshake. Can't wait to see where this goes! I can tell I'm going to be both angry and enlightened by the end.

Poirot, those young women aren't dressing for you to find them attractive, ew. Nobody gives a flip whether you dislike shorts on females!! Some things don't age well...
