I’m on chapter 3 so far and have noticed 17 horror references and 11 romance ones. I’m geeking out.

Very close to putting this down but he did beg the reader to skip the first chapter if gambling isn't their thing. The descriptions of the different hands in poker was a bit too much for me so I will persevere past the first chapter and see if it picks up.

I was really enjoying this up until now, as he has introduced a discussion on victimhood and the Me Too movement in an insensitive way.

The graphic audio just played the most LOTR-coded music, I actually did a double take.

100 pages is usually the limit I give books to determine whether to keep going or not, but I'm at 100 pages and it feels like it's on the cusp of something finally happening (like how has 100 pages passed already and it feels like only 5 pages of plot has happened?)
