from p90 is where it really picked up for me! super interested in the world and loving the characters so far + dual timeline🙂‍↕️

i forgot what i was like to be thrown into the deep-end of a new fantasy world…but i really like this so far!

my main issues with this reread is that there’s simultaneously a lot of urgency and also none at all, and picking up/abandoning ness’s plot line when it’s convenient (even though it’s the most interesting/critical one…)

so many conflicting thoughts since it’s conceptually interesting but not that well written😰

oh the dangers of rereading…i’m so glad my seventeen-year-old self loved this because there are so many glaring issues now lmao

locking in to finish my reread of this series so i can finally read book 3 (it feels like yesterday that i reads IS/IR, but it was actually five years ago😵‍💫)

really loving this one! i’m annoyed that i have to go to work after reading the last line of that chapter💔💔💔

i did find section two (personals) that inspiring, besides ‘on morality’, but didion still makes me wish i was a writer

not many pages left, yet there is a lot of plot left so i’m worried

the return of some familiar faces is a very welcome addition! this book is mostly travelling as they repeat the same five pieces of information to make sure we really get it lol

i forget how quickly i devour seanan mcguire’s books! very readable, i’m more interested by the plot and world than the characters (they’re just not that interesting compared to middlegame) but i’m having a good time

all i know is that i loved middlegame and that i remember almost nothing of the plot, so we’ll see how this goes🤞

murder mystery + murderbot’s humour = incredible
