I AM SO ANGRY AND ON EDGE. Her brother is a POS and she's getting way too toxic.

This seems so good. I'm listening to this on audiobook and I'm enjoying it (well feeling things very viscerally), I can't imagine how much more I'd enjoy this reading it. But I am also dying because her brother is an A**HOLE and I'm so sure he is the problem. I am aching to get through this so fast because I NEED TO KNOW WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN.

I ran out of audiobook time on Spotify so here we wait! It's sort of okay? But the miscommunication toddler tantrum stupidity is not my favourite trope.....

Started this on audio book and hard pass, waiting until I get home to read the hard copy on my shelf!

The miscommunication trope is the bane of my existence.

I can't tell if I like this or not.....I love the idea of an art student forger and the story line is cool. But maybe the audiobook specific tics are getting to me....

I have no idea what’s happening - like not a single crumb. I feel like I should DNF it but like…..50%. I do not foresee a good start review….

I'm confused as to how this is going to be a love story.... better than Stacey's story at least....but still kind of like...why...

Okay, while I am appreciating the author's flawed characters with individual baggage I am really not a fan of watching people not give things a chance or work on themselves.... I'm loving Mitch of course. I love such a dynamic character and I am so glad I get to see more of his story! But April is a difficult character for me to get behind, because while I understand the hesitancy there's no move to grow.....

I am so angry.

OH MY LORD I AM SO ANGRY AND WORKED UP. I can't deal with Cecily's all woe is me and just argh. And Nate. This is not a guy that's like "DON'T SPEAK TO MY WIFE LIKE THAT" - he just bleh.

The voice used for Tallulah is so childlike and icky, not a super fun time. And the first half was annoying me, though I appreciate that they told each other how they felt despite them (in my opinion) dropping every other ball they were trying to juggle. Argh.

I already dislike this. People need to stop protecting people at the cost of their own selves. Misunderstanding and secrets are the WORST trope to ever exist….

……I forgot what reading Tessa Bailey is like and I think I might have changed over the last year because I’m really not into this peppy, gung ho, woo girl thing that’s going on……I have my fingers crossed that things will get a bit more dynamic.

I can’t tell if I’m annoyed at the angst or not, I can say I’m annoyed that Kayce is all possessive when they ARE SO NOT F-ING TOGETHER. Like dude back off.

I am loving the gods and the world, but the language is overwhelming and there is a lot to keep track of so this is very slow going.....

Not a fan. Cassie is a whiny self-sacrificing slightly self-absorbed idiot and I’m fighting with myself about switching the audiobook.

I am feeling very disappointed, this was supposed to have me riveted and I have to argue with myself to keep going at every chapter....

I am more into it than I thought I would be for didn't reasons than I expected. I had a host of expectations about what this book would be like, but the writing is completely different - in a good way since I have been enjoying it so far. I'm interested as to how this is a trilogy.
