rereading to get on with the series

It strikes and effectively argues a universal truth that, once internalized, has a transformational effect on those who pick it up. The only down side is the repetitiveness of this one idea gets eye-rolling level repetitive.

It is so hard core sci fi good I don’t want it to end. Ever.

Light and entertaining but not his best work

Vague review: It's a must-read for lovers of detailed, tiny nonstop 80s pop references and pure imagination and a solid pass if you're looking for hard core virtual world sci fi. It lacks the obsessive fast pace and originality of the first book, but makes up for it in mad skilled, unpredictable imagination (in the vein of Bambi Harris). Worth it to me.

Absolutely delightful. I hated Infinite Jest so it’s not a blind nerd crush here on the most well known English professor of our time - these nonfiction essays are interesting, well thought out and downright entertaining/thought provoking.

such a fun read so far...full report coming but right now I'm simply along for the ride with a PI who enters other people's dreams. Unique idea executed very well.

I can see why Joss Whedon adores this book. 4 people and a young girl who is The One (no spoilers) versus dystopian horror. I'm enjoying it so far bit not as much as I thought I would. But I keep telling myself this is outside my favorite genre, so will keep an open mind.
