Just a little confused as to why Dr. Robinson becomes Dr. Robertson in chapter 7 and twice in chapter 9. Was this supposed to be a faux pas? huh....

Why is it so satisfying to read about Micky's turkey sandwiches.....

"Good Lord," Wil extended her hand before her brow to block the bright sunlight." Look at all those....what do you call those things that you vomit and pass out under?"
"Trees," Violet replied.
"Ah yes, That's right."

Bette: ..."Who the hell are you?"
Wil: "I'm sorry," Wil said. "Where are my manners?" She gestured to Cotton. "Bette, this is everything that's wrong with men."
Bette put her cigarette in her mouth as she began to sort the cards in her hand. "In that case, we've already met."

"I've had dates like that darling," Wil said, taking a long sip of her Bronx cocktail. "One time I had to pretend I was dead to get the son of a bitch to leave."

Violet: "Are you saying that there isn't the tiniest part of you, albeit deeply repressed, that might want a job in Hollywood?"
Mrs. Parker: "I'd rather pass a hairbrush though my colon actually."
....During the ensuing moment of silence everyone no doubt pictured the haunting image.

....I feel like this is the never-ending book.....

holy moly is this book every messing with my head.....but goddamned it, get these women some green vegetables!

"Margarethe came in, rearranging the air molecules with her energy as she always did when she entered a room." Exactly how I would imagine feeling around this force of a character.

Good thing it's a long weekend because I cannot read this without day-drinking.

Here's the deal: was out in the wilds with family for a long wknd, and every night my bro-in-law and i would try to one up one another with post-dinner scotch (i won). after indulging, i'd tuck in to read a few chapters with great enthusiasm. the next day, i could not recall what i read, even though i was super into it. SO, even tho i DID finish, i gotta go back to refresh before writing a review. :p

Guys...I got to the subway, reached into my bag, anxious to continue at a high point in the book...AND REALIZED I FORGOT MY E-READER! I am GUTTED! No sneaky reading at my desk, no reading on my breaks....UGH. So I caught up on some "My Dad Wrote a Porno" podcasts. One of my great joys is seeing strangers laughing to themselves while in transit, due to whatever they are listening to. I was one of those people today.

Oh my goddamned god. The descriptions! I am literally right in that hospital room waking up with Morgan. Ho-lee shit.

....feels like my esophagus is being twisted and trampled on. holy jeez what an intense beginning.....
