I started listening to the King James Version of the Bible last month as a read the Bible though in a year plan. I’ve done it once before in my early twenties. Now I’m doing it more because the King James Version is so iconic, literally. I’m also reading a Shakespeare play once a month. It’s for me to read it with respect for the English translators and the pinnacle of the English language. 1611 version

I thought this book was going to be more challenging than it is. It’s actually quite readable and very interesting. Another plotless page-turner about art! I’m all in!

Finally I’m going to read all three volumes of this beast of a novel, The Aesthetics of Resistence! The third volume was finally published in English this year! (It’s been 44 years since Peter Weiss finished his magnum opus in German.)

Again, I’m so excited to dive into each of these beautiful epic books!

I’m very excited about the fall’s line up of books! Some really great titles this fall and winter. First of all I am already reading the King James Bible and I will read it in its entirety in a year. But I am also getting a really nice 1611 facsimile of the original that is very exciting!

Next also own a Kelmscott Chaucer facsimile and started reading the Canterbury Tales in the original Middle English! Yay!!!
