Do I keep reading or dnf??

The misogyny, the constant self criticism

Characters do not have names "son" "daughter" "the corner"

Flashbacks distract from tension just as it builds

Why can I not just stay home to read this. It is unfair that I must stop reading to go to work. I am so invested.

Not even half way and I do not to put it down to sleep

Could have used trigger warning for strong child illness in case reader is bothered by severe medical issues

With all the codes I do not feel this translates well into an audiobook.

How many times do we need to count the floors in the elevator or point out there is no 13th floor
Of course there is no 13th floor, what building actually has a 13th floor?

At one point it is stated that the security surveillance has no volume, then later entire conversations are listened to from the security room full of 60+ monitors.

I am hating this book.

Characters are flat and nearly indistinguishable.

Sometimes the narrator uses 'the killer' but other times uses 'I' so it is unclear if the narrator is the killer. Then all of a sudden there is 'the other killer'.

The conversations boring and take up so much of the story but adding nothing to it.

Oh my this is going to be a long book. I am already hating the narrator's for characters which makes them sound so condescending

I went into blind and some times that does not work out.

Expected a thriller and hot historical fiction.

As audio reader, the singing was something I could not get past. Can not take it any more.

I will not be reading another by this author. The crime is not bad. But the relationship gives such ick.
I gave a second book chance but not again. It is so tempting to DNF for that reason alone!
Both books-the male character decides he wants the gal. She does not want him, makes that clear, yet he will not accept no!
In this one, the way the author pushes them together over and over despite the fmc's clear no. GROSS

I am starting to root for certain people to be the one shot.

Not sure how I feel about the lecture style of the writing. The teacher responds to questions but there is only her speaking.
Already I have audibly gasped a few times. I typically go into books blind so was not sure what to expect

Story could end with part 1.

Instantly drew me in.

Got so lost on the timeline, I had to go back.
As an audiobook reader, I am usually doing something else too. This one needs more attention because references to the past are minimal and easily missed

Why is it titled House of Glass when fmc refers to plastic house constantly

Reader needs to suspend disbelief because 2 weeks in hospital for minor gunshot wound and pain pills that take effect as soon as swallowed just are not something that happens

The narrated voices of this series is not the best. Two whiny squeeky voices for example.

Then sounds like the narrator lost it after the scene of testing Clover. After that, the different characters' voice traits got all mixed up. Echo started having the attitude and mannerisms of Clover, and River started having a slow speak similar to Chase.

Unsure if will finish this or not.

New narrator again. But this one is much better

I hate when the narrator is changed in the middle of a series.
