i keep laughing out loud bc this is obviously written by someone who is actually from the midwest. i don’t think there’s any other way the author could possibly know what ‘squeaky cheese’ is

dnf at 51%. the writing itself is really good but it’s so flowery that i can’t always follow what’s going on. the book also doesn’t have a lot going on by way of plot so maybe that’s also the problem lol

i’m only reading this for a book club or i wouldn’t have picked it up. i’m so sorry but so far it reads like a wattpad story

it’s written so well, i’m learning a lot of great new words, but it’s soooooooo dramatic

i genuinely do not know if i can finish this book because it is that disturbing

this is the first book i’ve read in a long time where i truly feel that i can’t put it down

so far it reads like a super long book report or analysis on nabokov’s books, i hope it gets a little less like this

so far i find this to be super annoying and really white feministy but i have heard it gets better so i guess i’ll try to stick it out

This is the exact sort of book I would’ve made my entire personality when I was 15.
