I am having so much trouble putting this book down! I can’t wait for the ending, but I don’t want it to end!

Honestly, I really wanted to like this book. I’ve seen it on so many book lists, that I thought it was a sure thing. But I am forcing myself through this one. All it is is young love, old love, sex, cholera, and birds. Unless there’s a brilliant plot twist hidden in the last few chapters, I’m going to hate it.

Slow so far

Have to go slow with this one, as it reads much like an historical news piece. I have to allow myself time to process all of the information being poured into my brain and also to build my own conclusions. Overall, I like the book so far.

I love Louise Penny's work. Naturally, I am already completely engrossed. Like all of her other books, this one is rich and alive. The characters spring from the pages and become real, and I am in Three Pines every time I open my Nook.

Cautious about this one. I've heard there's a little bit of romance involved. :0

I can't finish this book. I'm sure that there are some things lost in translation, but I find it crude, stereotypical, and boring. Absolutely no flavor!

Anxious to see if Rowling is as good with her other works as she was with Harry Potter!

I LOVE this book. it's funny, full of surprises, well written, macabre. everything i love in a good story.
