No, Tiffany... this is a modern classic about the effects of propaganda, government lies, censorship and human sacrifice. This book goes way further down the iceberg of human cruelty than “veganism.”

If you don’t think human sacrifice and cannibalism is happening already, just take a look at the Epstein files. This is a warning :)

Picked up reading again and read about 150 books in a year and a half. Recognized that modern literature actually kind of sucks: the same types of books repackaged by the same types of authors. Had a massive paradigm shift and took a months long reading break. We’ll see if I can pick it back up.

I may actually be able to finish this one. I’ve rolled my eyes a few times, but I honestly appreciate that this book isn’t living in the same echo chamber as most modern books (at least so far). Yes, it’s a scathing review of conservatism — honestly, wealth and privilege more so imo — but it’s also a pretty scathing review of modern liberalism from an author who clearly understands both ideologies.

I genuinely cannot wait for this to be over 😊

Ngl I was not impressed with the beginning of this book… I feel like it was pretty lazy to just skip over so much time that clearly had a lot of development.. sounds like it could have been a whole other book in this series!

This shit is like the lord of the flies, the hunger games, and dune all at once. I’m here for it.

These books feel so comforting and cozy and nostalgic. 🥰
