Picked up reading again and read about 150 books in a year and a half. Recognized that modern literature actually kind of sucks: the same types of books repackaged by the same types of authors. Had a massive paradigm shift and took a months long reading break. We’ll see if I can pick it back up.

This is why I stopped reading the “top monthly picks.” I’m much more careful of what I spend my time reading. Big Authors and top picks are full of agenda driven ideologies and like you said seems to be repackaged and redistributed by most authors. I also feel that creativity is lacking just as we see the rest of the entertainment industry going.
