Superb! The man had such profound insights it staggers the mind.

This is yet another book where I had to check to make sure I was reading his words written in the 19th century as opposed to someone grafting his ideas onto movements they are opposed to in the 21st. This is so because history truly rhymes with much similarity.

Good but tough read. Interesting to learn what they thought in the 16th century. Only complaint is the condescending tone. Reminds me of books by hitchens and Harris against religion. I guess hitchslapping has a long history.

This interesting…… I cannot decide between three or four stars and they went with four because of the historical context and value as this was written in the 1960s when the Soviet Union was a major threat. It’s interesting to have the perspective of someone grappling the challenge without our benefit of hindsight.
