The dialogue is just not that good honestly. And after the 50% mark when they made it off the island it just kind of got boring. It was a whole “will they won’t they” thing which didn’t feel like it had any impact knowing how they feel about each other. At about 80% I am just struggling to get through the rest of the book. The pacing is still weird as well. Nothing is happening in big chunks of time.

The passage of time is a little strange I think. I don’t think it’s a bad thing but there’s weeks and months passing and things like injuries/sickness don’t hold as much weight because of it. But having the passage of time like that makes it interesting to see a lot of different things they are going through

I am really excited to see Hunt and Bryce figure out what happened to Danika. So far the world building and character stuff has been pretty good

it’s only like half way and i have no idea how there is still half a book left. it’s kind of scary
