Why is every recent Rom-com release just a poor retelling or knock off of a great Rom-com movie from the 80s/90s? Every time I try to pick up a romantic comedy book I feel like I’m reading a fanfiction of the movies I grey up watching. Sure, I enjoy reading it, but that’s only because the entire plot is copied from great movies.
