So fricken cool how all of Mustangs forces are gathering!!

Knowing what happens(b/c I'm pretty caught up on the game lore) makes so much of this tragic. It does a really good job building hope but also foreshadowing doom.

This has been so good so far!
Really digging into the abuse and horrors of racism, mental health, sexism, and govermental departments.

Not gonna lie. Im unfortunately not vibing with this at all. I don't really care about the story. I liked the idea from book 1 where it was sowing the seeds of the Fire Nations prosperity (since Next generation is when Sozin is born ) So this plot is actively fighting what I was hoping to see more of. I think like most people we wanted more of a connection to what we already know of Kyoshi, the warriors, Chen etc..

I've seen some people call This series "fan fiction". I feel like there is some specific quality to respect when it comes to claiming something is Fanfiction. Granted, not all fanfiction is bad, but it usually lacks quality and respect to the source material.
That's why I disagree this is "fanfiction". I think it adds depth and culture to parts of the Avatar world we didnt have in the show.

Van Hohenheim chapter was so interesting!! I hadn't seen/ read it before!

I still love its humor tho! lol

Sometimes this series is a little disappointing when it comes to secrets and revelations. They'll introduce something mysterious, and then just tell the reader right after what the mystery is. (Or an earlier volume where the characters had a theory about what may be happening, and its just handed to the reader a couple of pages later)

I have been waiting all book so far for Jennette to realize the weight her mother was putting on her, and now that the facade has been broken I realize it was only the beginning of further pain.
Heartbreaking.

This volume starting with Toma and Futaba yelling about how cute each other are is definitely the best way to start the final book lol <3

I feel like these conversations are literally me in my head, when driving for a long time listening to music. Just long conversations about deep things going back and forth....

Oh.....so Kensuke's got some childhood trauma....I see....

Kensuke's friends are reading him for FILTH. And he deserves it. His way of thinking is so gross and problematic.

ok, WOW! The first chapter, of Futaba and Ichinose just alone chilling in a class room and all hell breaks out around them and theyre just sitting there like. "WTH is going on..."
I made a comment about how i wish they were less meak and nervous from Vol 4. But THIS, was a hilarious way to use that as confused background observers getting dragged into a shit storm. Love. IT.

Spoilers:
Well this was part of my problem with my last comment from page 30. Now a big part of why Jebi needs to take the job is to protect his sister. But like THEY even say, might as well not help, since their sister kicked them out so easily and clearly doesnt care.
However I agree with something else Jebi said, and that the Armor group was probably tailing them and sabatoged their exam.
RIP art department lol

I kind of wish we had a little bit more time with the MC's sister before they were just kicked out. Bc it seems really extreme >_<

I do like Shepard...but not at the expense of taking Penny COMPLETELY away from Simon and Baz.

Im realizing as Im reading this, I dont know what I expected or wanted from this finale.
But Im not really enjoying what Im getting.

That was the most confusing and badly written sexual encounter (chapter 18)
Can I just purge that from my memory so I can enjoy the rest of the book.

Oof, this plot, with a sickness that is taking over, mostly negatively being blamed on minorities, that's causing the government to shut down public events and places....awkward time for me to pick this up.
still really good though, just bad timing on my part! lol

So glad to have finally started this, its my yearly read for the spooky season! But I love how its description is basically what you learn in the first 3 chapters lol.

The ending twist....so this is the Last of Us but with Vampires.

Wow you had to kill not one, but two horses. And what you did the second time was just unnecessary.

But damn impressive! One of the more interesting creatures Ive read in fantasy recently.
Dont want to be meeting this thing in a dark corner of the forest.

Im only 3 chapters in and I already really like this. The writing style is clear and easy, but not boring with great descriptions. The characters already feel unique and I can picture them clearly.
And the world is already fascinating! I want to know more!
