When reading what this book is about I knew I had to read it. Just based on adoption. I have had 2 babies that were adopted. You never know what someone is going through in life and feeling like handing them over to someone else to raise after raising one of them for 10 months of their life is something I will forever struggle with. It was supposed to be an open adoption until it wasn’t found him at 17 now 26

How!! Did I know that It was going to be him??? I knew the mom was going in the wrong direction I love how it played out though. What a surprise!

This book is so good so far. I feel Julia’s mom’s pain. Such a sad situation.

I was beyond excited to get this book. I’m not sure how I feel about it at this point. I’m almost done and all I can say is Taylor you are a conceited assh@le!! Way too full of yourself and clearly think you are better than Dustin. And of if I have to read the words “One and Done or about higher education I’m gonna throw this book!

The relationship between this woman and her mom 😩😩 reminds me so much of mine.

Whew weeeee! Rashonda has done it again! I’m not even 1/2 way through but loving this story.

Wow.. how can you want your partner to find another person to share their life with after you’re gone. And you want them to find this person while you are still alive? I just can’t…. Please let this book end on a happy note I have cried enough reading it.

Wow I feel like I am reading my sons story, my son who was adopted at 10 months old. Taken due to my bad choices in life.
This woman was stolen at the age of 2 months raised by a single black woman like my son her bio mom is white and dad is black. She had no idea just like my son that his/her bio mom was white. He was raised by a black couple his dad is black. Another incredible book!

I love the slow build of this relationship between Madeline and Dylan. The innocent flirting, the communication, how Dylan is showing Madeline the “real world” that’s what I call it she has never worked a day in her life because “Marak women don’t work” according to her grandfather. And that jeans are ok to wear. 😂 something so simple and normal for the average person.

I really like the way this book is written. Madilyn finds a family members very old diary and discovers she was having an affair with a woman. There are excerpts from the diary within the story. I don’t want you to give too much away but highly recommend this book.

Talk about secrets, I know someone who went through this same exact thing on its a man not a woman. And they found out the same way same scenario…. Death bed confession for him and she just happened to over hear the truth. Ohhh poor Leslie and Maxine ❤️😞

from page 1. Really good so far.

If I could give this book 100 stars I would. I really started to get frustrated with the secret then it was exposed and in the cutest most innocent, precious way. 2 amazing families and the best love story ever.

It’s almost the end of the book and she still hasn’t told her. The story is good but dragging this out it unnecessary. Maybe it is her heart after all?

I wanted a story that would rip my heart out and boy have I found it in this one. Only thing I’m bothered by is can Piper tell Gillian already???? I have a feeling it will happen on the last pages of the story 😞 definitely should have told her by now.

On a break at work, only able to read Prologue so far and already in tears.

I was very excited to read this book, made me think about my relationship with my babies. I am struggling to get through this part as it’s talking about IV drug use which I am very familiar with being I am an addict clean for 24 years now. But my goodness even just reading about it makes me sick!!!!! Overall good book so far.

I have cried big alligator very emotional tears reading this book. Wow what a story incredibly sad. All I can say is be nice there is no room for hate in my life. No matter the color of our skin we are all beautiful. Racism is the ultimate ignorance. This story is incredibly hard to read but such a good story at the same time. The way the story flows was so good as well. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chapter 1 down, I’m working so reading on my 15 min break and I just want to take the day off and dive into this book. Dad just died mom has been keeping a secret for years…. What is it??? Story starts in 1986 now it’s going to go back to 1955 where it all began.

Oh Baylee you are killing me with what you have shared of your life story so far. I just want to hug you. Tovi, you were so young why did you die??? 😢😭😢😭

This book is so good, I asked for a book recommendations that would have me ugly crying and this one has done it!! And to think I’m only on chapter 4. 😂 send help I may not be ok when I am done with this.

This book was slow to say the least or maybe it was just me and my lack of devotion to this book. I’m about 85% done and WOW!!! What an incredible book it is now that it’s coming full circle. I love books that are about adoption especially when a birth parent is involved (I am a birth parent of 2 babies) such a tear jerker highly recommend it ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Well this book finally picked up some speed. Now that’s it’s almost over. Not my favorite book but now I need to know who killed the little girls was the uncle? Or Dad or possibly the mom?

This morning was thinking this book is not any good, I’ll give it a few more pages and then move on if it doesn’t pick up. Ohhh it picked up. FINALLY!!!
