Losing 1 star because of the overuse of the word ‘slick’

Reading purely for science: is AH a good writer, overhyped, or is she just not a writer I enjoy?

I genuinely am not enjoying this book.

It’s taking me so long to read this book because it’s too real and raw, and I keep crying (I’m just overly emotional)

None of my current books are any good. Time for a my trust palette cleanser series to reset my brain.

Every day I try and try to get through this book, but it’s so hard. I want to hope it’s cute and will pick up, but these MCs are not interacting with each other, and that’s even after a year of them working together. I’m trying to push through, but I’m looking forward to being done. Not a good sign

Any time I’m in a slump, I can always count on IPB. Up until now, each story felt different, but this one definitely had some key plots from other books in the series. Still enjoyable though!

Welp, I’m once again going to ignore what Goodreads says and give this a shot. Mostly because I’ve heard the second book is better. Plus nothing can be worse than reality.
