I struggle with how young everyone is. Kiara is 18. Bishop, the oldest, should be like 22, but he's been running his family's mafia for 3 years? He killed his dad at 19 or so?

Kiara starts as a real badass and I liked her but she devolves in odd ways around Bishop. She basically called him a rapist, like his dad, but then has this overly sentimental followup by changing into his t-shirt in front of him. Confusing.

It's not as good as other books by this author. It's supposedly a small town but the men don't know each other. Violet and the men haven't run into each other even though she's been home for a year. No one knew her family. She supposed moved far away 10 years ago after Jayden but had long term relationships with Adam and Ian both (but separately) around 5 years ago. The timeline and small town part make no sense.

Struggling right now. Rebel has had a horrible couple weeks with unthinkable hardship and loss and her reaction is to oscillate between emotional but logical and acting like an immature brat. She is almost 30! This is some high school shit behavior.

This is blah so far. GiGi is a narcissist, Simone's mom is abusive, her dad is sexist. Mischa is a jerk. He asks Simone if she's afraid of him (her mate) and her response is yes, I've never had your wine. WTF? She's afraid of him (with cause) because she's never had the wine he makes??

This book is annoying. Xander seems like a pretty weak Alpha, which would be fine (I expect some are weaker than others), except the author keeps trying to convince me he's exceptionally strong. He's easily manipulated and doesn't even heed his own instincts. Felicity would rather walk into a known dangerous situation than be told what to do. While insisting independence, she's really just over her head and dumb.

Ares is driving me nuts. He keeps saying "always" this and "never" that but then switching what he's saying depending on which sister he's talking to. Hannah and her parents are obviously the bad guys. but Ares is a bad guy too. He tells Hannah he has always loved her, will always love her, and will never love anyone else in front of Raven the day after their wedding but he tells Raven he'll never marry anyone else.

I've already considered dropping this book at least 3 times. Every time I start to like Cora she acts like a horny idiot. She's a normal rational person and then she sees Ivan and all her brain cells die. It's annoying AF and makes me not like her. We'll see how long I last.

Started off great. Insta-love without cringe. But has gotten cringy now. Alyssa is pretty immature. It's getting annoying. She cries every couple pages. She wants to act tough over really little things and then immediately has a panic attack or cries. It's getting harder to continue this book. It's like the author was trying for a slightly dark romance and then did a big awkward U turn creating a mediocre story.

Violet is very presumptuous to think Tristan would still want to be with her knowing she slept with Knox. It's odd she has no guilt or doubt. I don't think she would have been ok with him sleeping with someone else. She got crazy mad when girls flirted with him even before they were dating.

I'm struggling. Violet is getting super annoying. She acts like Tristan not telling her Knox is out of jail is on the same level as Knox murdering her mother and burning down her house. Also, she is held over heels for Tristan then wants to hump knox's leg the first time she sees him, again while still thinking he murdered her mom. She comes off as a really dumb horny teenager.

My original opinion of this book has concentrated. Elizabeth is an idiot for missing the obvious candidate for the serial killer. She continues to oscillate between pathetic and a bitch. Abraham is a moron about Peyton, Bea, and being an Alpha. This book is very different because he doesn't seem to have control over anything and no one expects a mate to get jealous. I'd have beaten Peyton by now and left Abraham.

This book is starting off rough. All the things I didn't like in the first book have been concentrated in the first 7% of this second book. Elizabeth oscillates between pathetic and a total bitch. Abraham could fix 80% of his problems if he just told his pack members that Elizabeth is his mate. There is a clear creepy serial killer candidate but somehow Elizabeth and Abraham don't even link the behaviors.

Any guy who says "don't think, just feel" should get throat punched.

Evan Wyld is a bitch, there are no other words for him. He sleeps with a new girl every night but loses his shit and embarrasses Sienna in front of her friends just because she kisses some other guy. He is a hypocrite and a jerk. Then when Sienna gets (rightfully) mad at him he pounces on her to have sex. Loser. We'll see if he can redeem himself.

I was going to exempt Willow from my everyone must die hopes but then she gave up defending Liya too quickly. I guess we're all just supposed to pretend the rape didn't happen?

I'm struggling not to hope EVERYONE dies at this point. Pavel rapes Liya in front of others and her own brother, who offered her up, and her processing the event afterwards leads her to conclude that her brother is the head of the family and so therefore his approval over her rape is acceptable and she needs to put her family first?!?!?! Um....WTF! Now we're supposed to think Pavel is a good guy....no.

I thought this book would be better. So far it's a 3 out of 5...maybe a 2. It's mildly interesting but the characters have fallen into the trap of just saying the same thing over and over. We get it, you're a sad sack. It's beyond annoying by mid way in this book. The main cast is all either bullies or whiners. Eric so far is the only one who isn't annoying and he's on the moodly slope to sucking too.

I'm around half way through and this book is beginning to sound like a really long commercial for Zombie Dust beer (which is a real beer). It's mentioned way too much by name to be authentic. Also, there's a bit of drinking and driving which isn't spoken about yet. The book's a little slow for how long it is but we'll see what the second half offers. It's a nice story but over 400 pages.

So far Jodie is still sad and horny. She is fickle and easily turned.

Joanne is driving me nuts. She is madly in love with Jonas for over 2 decades, happily puts up with knowing he has another family and that he hurts people for a living. However it just takes 1 person saying he was a bad man to his other family to have her turn on him. Now she's #TeamToby as soon as he gave her money even though he hurt her kid.
