So far I hate it. But it could just be the FMC narrator so I'm going to continue on and try and give it more of a chance.

It's giving Edward & Bella if Edward was more Christian Grey and less puritan/whiny baby...which tracks I guess.

It's been 21 years since I read this and I forgot how annoying Bella is. We get it girl, you're so clumsy and smart and just not like everyone else.

Are smutty books just not for me? Like the smut isn't really the problem but the CRINGE from having to read about two people who literally just met and are talking about marriage/babies/etc. Ugh. It works for his character because he's insane but for her? Girl no! Also, aren't you like 28??? Why are we acting like a teenager?? Is this her first "relationship", was that mentioned and I just forgot?

We get it. You’re so teeny, tiny, itty bitty, weak and 👉🏼small👈🏼. (I’m so over this FMC characteristic in books)

Slowly making progress - trying to get any reading done towards the end of tax season is near impossible - but so far I'm intrigued!
