Been trusting the process thus far and it hasn't let me down, so I'm prepping for what these last 400ish pages are going to do to me

I’m at a loss for words on what I think if Part 1. Not once did I know where this was going to go or where it will end up. I can’t put this down

I’m going to have to revisit this series at another point. I appreciate the good writing and interesting storyline, but something just isn’t clicking for me with this series. I really liked the first book and I do understand the hype, so I’ll just let this sit and find another time to try again

let's pretend the first book didn't happen so i can properly enjoy this the way i am rn without having biased at how much i disliked the other

so glad im re-reading this before brimstone because i forgot about basically all of the non-romance plot starting at the scene where we first meet Taladius and his new "pet". getting the chance to be shocked again at every revelation

“She is the dawn, she is the moon, she is the sky, she is oxygen in our lungs” is what the “she’s moonlight… yada” was trying to be

The scene with the sword forging, Aurora lights, the song and the naming is so powerful and part of what makes this story so unique

At 20, her brother has no excuse to act like a bonehead....... I would only take her explanations if he were under 16.

Also, Saeris is shockingly good at knowing the exact size of the items in her world... "The skull is 6ft tall and the teeth are 12ft long" "the pool is 40ft by 60ft". I think this is the one time where it would have benefitted from and "about" or "maybe"

Still loving this though

Currently having a hard time with this... I really like the characters and think they're all pretty dynamic, but the plot is boringggg. Tired of hearing about the veil and all the things that I'm having a hard time making sense of relating to the Maiden. I also sense there's a plot twist coming, so guess we'll see if I'm as tuned in as I think I am
