Listening to the audiobook read by Elizabeth Day.

Hurrah, I think I’m up to Habit 4, think win-win. There is a lot of info to unpack here. I’m going to have to do a second read through or complete workbooks or something.

Guesstimating that I’m up to 35% and have finished Habit 2! Currently listening to habit 3… love the comments from Sean Covey.

So I’ve read more of the book (previously) than I thought. When I was listening to the author narrate, I was like, I’ve read these passages before. It was a great refresher. Helped to embed stuff more. Now I’m onto the new stuff and now the brain has to work.

I think this is the second or third time I’ve started reading this book. This time it’s the audio version narrated by Stephen R. Covey. It’s like a refresher because I’ve read the start chapters many times now. Hopefully I will make it to the end. It’s 15 hours long apparently.

I’m listening to the audiobook narrated by Phillipa Perry. It’s very good. A lot of the book is about being a good human. Learning to listen and be empathetic. Being in touch with our own feelings which we also push deep deep down. Everyone should read this book. Not just parents.

It was pretty touch going. I’m up to the paradoxical part. It just makes me think of the Buddhist teaching of acceptance. Just accept what will be will be. Then it releases you from your ‘jail’.

Listening to audiobook narrated by Angela herself. The app says it due to be returned. Need to extend it. Interesting so far.

Listening to the audiobook read by the author. 8hrs 49 minutes left… I need to stop starting all these books before I’ve finished others…

Hurrah! Jesse finally realised that he jumped to conclusions and was the asshole!

The more I read the more I think Jesse is ridiculous and Web is crazy for going along with it. Web is so obviously demisexual.

Jesse is annoying. He gets over his old relationship far too quickly. He also makes a lot of assumptions and judgments about Web.

Ok, I’m at the part where Justin and Nick are having a heart to heart. Hurrah. Feel a lot better.

Urgh! Justin! We totally can see your point of view and how you are feeling totally replaced. So dramatic! I’m so annoyed at you for not seeing your dad’s (or Colton’s) point of view. I hope you come around… so heartbreaking. Feeling very sad for Colton right now. So sad.

Waffly… so very waffly. Made it really hard to read. You have to catch two buses to get to Twickenham from Oxford Circus. Also, 1hr in London traffic 🤣

I am soooo excited!!!

I was looking forward to this one. All the reviews were great. I just... don’t get it. Yes they are sweet but I’m expecting... more. Currently up to somewhere around the wedding hotel, parents finding out bit and not yet progressing. Stone and Dare are still my faves.

Our organisation is trying to take some of these concepts and values and make them our own. Lots of interesting nuggets of information. Helpful if you do it with the accompanying workbook. Still making my way through it and it’s been six months. One that needs a few re-reads to absorb and put into practice.

Listening to audiobook narrated by Brene. Guesstimating 20% ish into book. Chapter 3. Gender and shame. MINDBLOWN. I’m perpetrating the patriarchy. Not just to my own gender but to men too. There was one specific example about how we want our men to open up and be vulnerable but not really because they need to stay (the very incorrect perception of) ‘strong’. I’m SO guilty of that!
