While the rules and edge cases of the player aspect of D&D has been greatly improved in clarity and scope, the new 2024 revision of the D&D 5e PHB has it's own issues. Unlike the personality and identity the game exhibits in the 2014 PHB, the 2024 version is as generic and vague as a fantasy RPG could possibly be, with little background or world description for character creation.
