This is the First Lady Emily book I am having trouble getting into. As awful as her mother has been, this by far is almost intolerable.

What a slimy rat Diego is- I’m not surprised, I called it from the beginning but wow.

I know this is geared towards children (and I am enjoying it) but I need answerssss. This rando kid steals kikis broom, does not apologize and basically says he is stalking her and she’s just like “oh say sorry.” Whattttt? This kid followed you, then took your broom and broke it. And made a replica- how did he know what your broom looks like? Is he following you, breaking into your home!?

Excuse after excuse after excuse for Hardin. Tessa deserves so much better, not someone who is verbally and mentally abusive. Not someone who won’t act like a decent human towards her let alone a significant other.

*sigh* I want to love this book but I’m having such a hard time getting through it. I love Greek Myths, I know it’s all about interpretation being there are usually different tellings of the same stories but I am struggling here. Especially as the author states Zeus as “having a strong sense of justice, fairness and right”. Three words l myself probably never would have given the adulterous shortsighted God.

I was not prepared to get emotional picking this book up again. But that dragon 😭😭 lonely, hidden, scared I connect to that too much. Him connecting with Guinevere thinking they are the same, hidden and lonely with no one knowing who they are 😭

I’ve been reading a lot on Wattpad recently and man, they’ll get you right in the feels only to find out the book isn’t finished 😅😅
