I’m torn because on the surface this book was about a father and son just trying to survive but I could see many underlining themes. More than just survival I could see resilience, love, and hope. I really felt bad for the son throughout this book. Knowing as the reader he wasn’t going to understand the world crumbling around him and the only person connecting him to some sense of reality was his father. - 3.5
