I'm reading a Spanish translation and it's very funny how the author is obviously from Galicia lmao, Geralt using words like morriña always catches me off guard.

I'm really curious to see how this is all going to wrap up but I've already made up my mind about it.

I'm still reading this! I just finished another quarter! It's crazy because this is clearly the longest a book has taken me in YEARS but I swear I'm loving it lmao. Not in a "let's see where this is going..." I've made up my mind! This is really good!

Oh that's right, I was reading this. Anyway, really good. I'll stick with it! But the parts with Stephen Black dragged and you get the feeling that Norrell just kinda bored himself in the second half of his own section because he ran out of things to do.

It is actually wild how long it's taken me to read this book, but I've been very distracted this year, especially in the last couple of months. Can't be helped! Oh well...

The detective's story is boring. This thing is either the greatest thing I've ever read or trite like a bad fanfic of something I don't know anything about. But, in all honesty, few scifi classics can claim to sit comfortably in such a remarkable midpoint...

That's gotta count...

I don't know what to make out of the book yet, but seeing the main character saying whatever bullshit crosses his mind to mantain his aura is hilarious. Bro does not know what is going on AT ALL lmao

I've more or less already decided that I will not love this book, unfortunately. It is what it is...

I'm...so depressed dude, like really going through it right now because of romantic problems. I can't even read lately. I'm basically forcing myself to read this, so hopefully I'm not too unkind to it...

The Weaver is such a fun character... now are we getting those moths or what?

Well, after so much waiting, it seems like the story is finally ready to begin...what do you mean there is only half of the book's length left?

"Hell is afraid of what we're chasing" is an admittedly funny premise

If the book has a problem it's definitely the second part. Such a pointless slog, only good for worldbuilding, no wonder I dropped it the last time. Let's see if the rest makes up for it or not...

The problem with the second part is that you've been thrown a vague premise in an interesting setting and Miéville is instantly more interested in the setting than in developing said premise. This makes the book feel like it's about nothing for about a hundred pages or so.

Had to stop reading and it was hard getting back to it, but I'll try to resume my reading now that I have more time...

I remember liking the intro but not what came afterwards. Let's see if I've changed my mind...

I have decided to give this one another chance. Wish me luck...
