OMG!!!! The action is stressing me out. Literally at the edge of my seat!!!!

I adore this David! This is the character development I wanted to read about.

I am sad to say that up until now I find this book to be boring. First of all, there are a lot of characters that serve almost nothing to the plot. Secondly, there are a lot of instances where the revelations are told instead of shown. Lastly, nothing has really happened.

This is a really interesting book. I can’t wait to see how it holds up by the end, but I am hoping it will be a new 5 stars.

So much has happened, and yet, at the same time nothing happened. A lot of descriptions instead of actions. It’s a shame because I thought I’d enjoy the book a lot more.

I’m not vibing with the writing, nor the switch in timelines and characters. Fingers crossed that it gets better.

Ok, so… I didn’t expect to cry.

The story is progressing (simultaneously) in an interesting and dejected way, which makes me intrigued to see what happens next. However, there are some minor details that I picked up on and don’t particularly like, however, that does not render me uninterested.

It’s quite the interesting concept, that’s for sure. I am beginning to think I might be able to read more horror books if I don’t get nightmares from this one.

I’m intrigued, but I also need to read this book strictly during daylight.

I am enjoying the writing of R. F. Kuang a lot more than I anticipated. Considering some of the reviews that call the book confusing, I am glad that I don’t seem to have the same issue, or at least, I don’t find issue at this point.

I am so freaking annoyed. The MMC is literally being a bitch and the constant push and pull is frying my brain.

Why is she the one going after him? Shouldn’t it be the other way around after the way things ended in the last book? It’s really pissing me off.

Chills. Literal chills. Such a poetic and hauntingly beautiful piece.

So far I am not liking it as much as I thought I would. I liked Veronica's writing style in Fairydale, however, this book is written like a Wattpad book.

Despite the fact that people are praising Barbi, I cannot seem to find one positive word I can speak about her. Sure, some points are relatable, but the girl is 21, not 12.

I am entertained. I am annoyed. And overall, I am having a good time.

I liked the book better. There was more to the story and actual scenes with Colin and Penelope.

As of now, I really like the book. I am more used to having the ML as the mafia boss, or maybe a rival family, but even as a bodyguard, I like him. I just hope that my thoughts don’t change and I don’t just DNF the book.

Considering my love for this book based on my review, I unfortunately have no recollection of actually reading it lol.
