Definitely a sadder ending of the chapter, and an insight into divorced life!

This chapter didn't really do much for me, I'm assuming Tomomi was the prime minister or mayor, something like that! Apart from that it was a bit boring

An interesting start, I feel like it's passing through key emotions though

There's always gotta be a tragic love story at some point in Japanese literature .. makes me cry every time 😭💔

I feel like that was a lot of ingredients and prep for someone who doesn't really like cooking that much, I can appreciate people who do and may want to recreate it, but it seemed like a lot for such a short chapter!

Miss Brodie is the most manipulative person but I'd never thought she'd downright admit to it!!

Alice saying that she hallucinates cabbages being corpses at Sainsbury's checkouts is the most relatable thing I've ever read

Of course kittays can transport themselves between worlds, it's common knowledge!! 😂

I love how Alice isn't going to Hell because of her conscience, but for her academic gain, even if it does cost her 30 years of her life! Plus all the mentions to mythology is making me go, "oh, I know that one!" 😂

Whenever there's a school in a fiction book, especially the more classic books, there's always some sort of mention of learning both ancient and modern greek! I wonder why that is!

I'm so glad to know that it's a universal experience at any time period, to gossip about teachers drama and love lives, I remember doing it with my girlfriend's in primary and secondary school 🤣

I'm finding it hard to keep up with these time jumps and new characters as I always do whenever I start a book, but hopefully I'll be able to figure out who's who soon enough! So far Mary is the most notable to me!

An interesting take on such a similar subject to our everyday... I'm not sure entirely which side I agree with entirely!

I'm more invested in what is going on with Johnny's parents than what's going on with Shannon & Johnny, they've definitely got something planned and are just waiting for the right time!!!

Okay, low-key, I'm getting a bit bored with this book, it's been the same stuff just rewritten differently for like the past 15 chapters with only a few revelations but overall it's just the same! I understand the whole, get through the lovey-dovey nice stuff before the traumatising stuff, but it could be done a lot better than it has been!

So much depression, anger and trauma... and now we enter the city of starlight! The story is only just beginning!! 🌌

So we're finally getting more of a backstory on Lizzie!! I'm interested to see what happened with Mark and her sister! Maybe they ran away together and got caught in an accident??

I feel like Rhys definitely doesn't understand the emotional and physical conflict he's placed on Feyre while they were under the mountain and I forget how much I relate to Feyre in these chapters, my coping mechanisms are somewhat similar!

To say I spent forever with them not being together and now every other chapter has them being together, whether happy or not is a different matter, has me both giggling and worried because the worse always comes after the best

See this is always around the part where I just don't know how to feel about Rhys, one moment he's as charming as ought, the next I can't stand the guy

I love the friendships in this book they're so wholesome and good, which is such a nice refresh from all that happened in the first 25ish% of the book 🥹♥️
