I have a feeling that more families are about to disappear and the sculptures our MCs mother left behind all fit together to make some sort of key or answer a puzzle? I'm excited to see what it reveals!!

I feel like our MCs manuscript is going to connect with our main storyline at some point, I can't see another reason for the story to keep including it otherwise

I can't imagine having to spend the rest of your days down in that makeshift room.. no company, no going outside, no books, it's just you, hiding from the Memory Police, hoping you won't get found... It sounds hellish.

An interesting start!! I'm so curious as to why they are taking such random items, or beings, and why our main character seems to remember the names of some things but not of others!
