1/5 of the way through and I’m shelving it, I picked it out as a nightstand book and boy was that a bad idea. This is more of a historical account than story, written in a format like news clippings about atrocities committed against “Indians” as white settlers ravaged their land. It is sad, graphic, blunt, and brutal.

Shelving this one for a bit. Don is a true idiot, and though his misfortunes are entertaining I’m going to spend my time reading something else because over 150 pages in and I’m dragging myself through it.

Care, responsibility, respect, and knowledge are imperative ingredients for the act of loving. To truly love is to seek to understand in depth how to preserve, enhance, and further life.
