1/5 of the way through and I’m shelving it, I picked it out as a nightstand book and boy was that a bad idea. This is more of a historical account than story, written in a format like news clippings about atrocities committed against “Indians” as white settlers ravaged their land. It is sad, graphic, blunt, and brutal.
