I'm really enjoying Ahriman: Exile so far. I was hooked by the prologue, and my attention hasn't waned one iota as I crossed the 10% threshold. French's prose has a sinister quality that fits perfectly in the grim dark future of the 40k universe. But the world he renders is sickeningly engrossing, it could stand alone in its own sci-fi universe, unaided by the crutch of 40k fandom.

I'm flying through this book! It's a genuine page-turner and I can't wait to find out more as Cullen Post digs deeper and deeper into the perilous secrets of the criminals who want to see his innocent clients stay wrongly locked up.

I love the episodic structure! I get fun little stories in bite-sized nuggets, which is perfect for winding down at the end of a long day.
