I was really liking this book & the historical aspect of reading a novel printed a hundred years ago but the author ruined it with this Morgan Wallen shit:

"The black [horse] was my second pick, and though the color is not a hardy one... I gave this black [horse] the name of "Nigger Boy."

Now I'll see that word every time he mentions his horse. I skipped ahead several pages & yes the n-word is repeated a lot!

She finally mentions her daughter Bethany, on this, page 108, in a 202 page book that is supposed to be about Bethany. Wheras she mentions God in every other sentence.

I think she's actually going to start talking about her daughter soon and the experience that inspired this book, title, the cover and the movie. It hasn't been boring, but I'm here for the shark attack.

I hate when authors pad their books with things I do not need to know. All I need to know is that Steve Martin was a writer for the Smothers Brothers TV show. I do not need to know the history of that show.

Did he really have to list every fucking person he saw in Hades?

I only understand 50% of whatever the hell is going on...
