Very interesting so far. I'm warming up to the characters fast!

Will feels more and more like a character created to be a company for Nico, and not his own character, which, to be honest, is kind of what happened, but I think we could use a lil more time trying to make him more complex and not just a silly guy who helps Nico when needed.

This feels so much more juvenile than what a YA should be.
They tell you there is racism in the military, but every time you see it, there's always a white person who "makes it right". The protagonists have no prejudice of their own, of course, so it just feels flat.
The romance is very clichê, of course , the black soldier will fall in love with the white girl.
And I hate Aphrodite
