This friend group is not convincing, and it's disappointing.
Robin is only actually close to Rammy - the author keeps forgetting she has 2 female characters who are supposed to be a part of the group too.
Victoire has no personality and barely feels present as a character. Letty is a good commentary, but it doesn't feel true that the group "loves her" but treats her like they hate her (which is understandable)

Kinda wished the topic of gender oppression was touched upon more, mainly with a character like Victoire, who experiences both gender and racial oppression.
Also, I'm not sure what to think about Letty being so obviously the "dumb, Western woman" who has no sensitivity to the struggles of any minority but her own. Maybe the author intended this, but I would love to see it explored more than this.
