Switched from audiobook to text and I think it’s worth it but a lot less dyslexia friendly 😪

It got finally hooked me at like 70% which is NOT ideal for a book but hey we got there

Disappointed that it’s so French influenced 😢 a complaint no one else would have about a ballet themed novel but unfortunately Tchaikovsky had to be from a country that continues to destroy everything around it so whattaya gunna do

Got really riled up about online stuff, so attempted to read this to chill, then got riled up about the author using “oh my god” in 1880 and had to go down a rabbit hole on if it would have been appropriate during the time period (SHE COULD HAVE USED OH MY JUST AS EFFECTIVELY?) anyways I don’t think I’m fun to be around rn

MC who regularly steals cars but refuses to say “fuck”….

This is one of the worst books I’ve ever read, I had no idea it was a sequel, and I will probably drop it tomorrow butttt if I do finish it I can finish the “unlikable main character” box in book bingo

Amazingly produced audiobook also I’m already a quarter of the way through??????? Aaaaaa

The joy and fear of knowing I still have half of this book and two other books left hehehehhe

Turns out all I needed to get hooked on this was just a good hour long walk listening to it, I’m now 👀

I think this is one of the few books where the opening chapter being set in the future is not paying off, it was exciting at first, but now it feels so clear that the MC is ignoring so many red flags that it’s not as fun to read, I’ll be happy if there’s a twist to prove my thinking wrong but right now is meh
