Just realised why the kids are called kits, only took me 3 books

"...the cord of his Nintendo..."

What kind of Nintendo!?!??
I need more details.

"He smiles when he opens his wallet on Friday afternoon and shows me three grey-blue money notes, the ones with Douglas Mawson on them standing in a snow jumper, the Antarctic cold freezing the many hairs on his..."

I had to look this up, was $100 before the green plastic ones. I was like blue is $10, can't be $10.

"...iceberg-sized balls."

There are no balls on the note. Again, I looked it up. I'm sure.

"I got better things to do with my life than end up a big snake turd."

"Help me Obi-Wan..."

"...absent-mindedly but not absent-mindedly at all..."

"...crushed like a stomped Pasito can..."

"I make this time go fast with my fear."

"...trying to escape from fate."

"I forgot he knew me before I knew him."

"The rain's never done with us, kid"

"...that unfair and imbalanced arsehole God..."

"...Casio calculator..."

"008"

"...there is an ibis..."

"I want to cry. I don't want to cry."

"...abstract gut spillage..."

"The smell of piss keeps me up but what woke me was the plan."

"I'm stronger than yesterday. More coherent. More confident in mind, body and spirit. I had a bowl of four Weet-Bix with hot water from the kitchen tap for breakfast."

"Too stupid to know he's got problems."

"... a world-class freak who won't even look me in the eye."

*relates*

"... a lazy, unmotivated, good-for-nothing, full of nothing but complaints."

*relates*

"... ever heard the old saying about it being darkest at the base of the brightest lighthouse?"

"leaf bare always brings green cough"

"I think one day he must have just gotten fed up with crying."

"So... you figure it's noble to star in a melodrama and treat everyone around you like guests at your pity party?"

"To know what is right and choose to ignore it is the act of a coward."

"Now he'll probably have a tantrum and quit!"

"Despite the evil spirit inside him..."

"Try to find some storage space for this information somewhere in that shiny, smooth brain of yours."

"...but it's a fact... you'll have to live with."
