I just shouted, “You’re clueless!” and startled my wife.

I’m listening to this one It is narrated by virtual voice and I am trying to ignore how weird the narrator sounds after listening to a rich narration in book that I finished yesterday.

However, one of the protagonists cell phone is vibrating next to her. I am assuming the author wrote this as a sound: bzzz, bzzz. However, the audiobook narrator, literally just spelled out the letters: Bee Zee Zee Zee twice.

Now the author used a derogatory term.

An a slur was used casually in this book. It is one that triggers me. It is one that I educate people on. It is one that is used widely in the United States. If it wasn’t because I have the sequel to this book, I would bail.

This is her best book yet.

How can Sydney believe that she does these things out of love?

I'm about halfway done. I am enjoying the story, but I could tell it was self-published because there is only one way to describe Fallon, "the blonde," and one way to describe Remy, "the brunette." If the book has 330 pages, each descriptor is used 660 times. I might bail just because of this.

Dominican mofongo?!?!?! Did Nadia make mangú? Dominicans do not have mofongo, Puerto Ricans do. They are different dishes. This is a Cuban author. She should know better.

I love how Penny will very subtly plant a seed and then… I thought there was something odd about the first hint of this, and now I see the brilliance behind it… and yet…

For the record, I was not expecting Taylor to be in the next scene. I have stopped reading. I don't think I can handle what will come next.

Bracing myself because I sense that this book will shred my heart to ribbons pretty soon. Also, and I'll probably write this in my review, Taylor needs her own book.
