I know this book was from the 90's, but it's so funny to me when she referred to the concessioneer "treating them well " but then continues to tell the story about how 3 workers killed themselves in one summer and OSHA had to come in because it was 112 degrees in the tents they lived in, and that it was more or less a modern day company town.
