the past couple of chapters about TB in 18/19th century europe were some of the best parts so far

i've never highlighted an ebook so much

two chapters in. everything really is tuberculosis

nothing like a little shakespeare to get back into reading

so far this is looking like a 3 star read to me

just finished part one! i hope whit stays on inez's side as she tries to uncover her parents' death because itms frustrating how no one has any faith in her or respects her grieving

now why did inez let that white man touch her #gross

the way miller lets each chacracter shine so thoughtfully and individually makes everything feel so alive. odysseus they can never make me hate you.

pg 84 : "That is the nature of madness."

pg 55: "It was such a boyish response. And so human. Parents, everywhere."

page 19: "Divine blood purified our muddy race, bred heroes from dust and clay."

i need to read project hail mary before the movie comes out...

sometimes i think the chapters are too long but they actually go quick
