I’m half tempted to say her inner dialogue is annoying, and half tempted to say it’s relatable because I’d probably use dry humour to survive too if I were her (what am I saying, I also use dry humour)

It does kind of ruin the scenes sometimes though.

Honestly love the writing and vibe. I’d have loved this as a kid (and am enjoying it even now so far)

Diem is a literal toddler who gets mad when she doesn't get her way, and is so stubborn that if ANYONE tells her ANYTHING, she'll instantly go against them, even if her life is on the line. She's giving early 2000's main character energy. Somehow I'm not hating the book itself, just the FMC
