very overwhelmed with the amt of books i’m reading rn,, also a little conflicted with my thoughts on this one specifically

i cant believe this is the same haymitch i was reading abt in the original trilogy

I want to watch the movies already for the other books + the trailer for this movie smh im overwhelmed and need to lock in

the characters are certainly interesting

Last 2 chapters r kind of long so I’m gonna finish this at work tmr lol the pace is slightly better but I still feel like I’m reading a whole lot of nothing overall (although maybe the author intended to do that). I think the family dynamics displayed r rlly interesting esp between the sisters. Probs the only thing I’m rlly enjoying in the book + Mary’s constant need for escapism (bc real)

Read a chapter out loud to my class (had no choice smh they were checked out & it was the best option in that moment unfortunately) and realized how annoying reading the dialogue between the characters is

Spring break soon and then it’s maximum reading time y’all better be afraid of me my library card is going to be maxed out and this will be the first book I finish

decided to listen to the audiobook for majority of this book so it’s taking longer to finish than anticipated… pacing is kind of dragging like so much could have been cut out but its been like 13 years since i first read the series so most of this is like reading it for the first time so its okay
