It's funny how, anytime I read something horror adjacent, i think about the haunting of hill house, right now, especially since I'm literally reading about a haunted hotel... only for it to actually get mentioned in the book 😭 methinks I need to rewatch the haunting of hill house.

I don't want to have to dnf this book, but the sentence structure is atrocious, and I'm lowkey having a difficult time with it. I've also heard not great things about this novella, which makes me a little annoyed that I'm reading this one second to last, instead of having gotten it out of the way by reading it first.

I feel like the synopsis of this book is super misleading.
