I picked this up because I read a recent Stephen King interview in which he calls this the worst novel he'd written. So why not?

Originally planned for 2027 (my self-proclaimed 'King For a Year' challenge, when I will try to claw my way through every King book), but what the hell.

For those interested, I'm up to the part where the narrator offers the following: "The baby farted for an improbably long time, like when someone treads on a woman's skirt and the material starts loudly ripping."

Not sure how Toth should have felt, dropping such a gold nugget so early in the novel.
