This book has been wonderful to read, the prose is incredible, almost Kapuscinski like. What bothers me though, as with a lot of writing from Indian liberals, is a complete absence of caste, and rather referring to vague concepts of ‘communities’ and ‘family practices.’ Maybe it’s too early in the book to complain about this though.
