I listened to Confessor: A METAtropolis Story by Elizabeth Bear (mostly because Gates McFadden was narrating it), and I enjoyed the story. It was a quick little science fiction story with some turns that I didn't expect.

It's not listed anywhere on Goodreads, though, and I can't figure out how to add it, so this is as good as it gets for a review right now.

So far I'm enjoying this one. Jamie MacCallister is a new character for me to get to know, but he's one that I'm enjoying!

This is a cozy mystery. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Prime Reading has the others, so I've already used some of my slots to check them out so they'll be there when I finish this one!

I got this book a few years ago when I first started watching Star Trek. I got it for free from startrekbooks.com. I couldn't get into it, so I ignored it and have since come back to it. I'm glad that I ignored it when I did. I really needed the other reading that I've done to understand it. I don't think I would have enjoyed it at all if I'd read it before. As for now, though, I'm actually really liking it!

So far, I'm really liking this book. I'll admit that I thought the beginning was a little slow (though I know now that it was necessary), but that was mostly because I wanted to get to the meat of it. Now I'm enjoying the twists!

I'm never going to get tired of this series. This is my second full read-through of it, though, and I'm amazed at how much I forgot from the first go around!

So far, the most disturbing thing is that there's a character from Cuba who has, according to the author, a "Spanish" accent and pronounces "bitch" as "beech" (which we know, because there's a note to inform us of this.

I know it probably wouldn't bother most people, but that description is just sort of sticking with me right now.

I didn't think I'd move through this one so quickly, but it's really a very nice read so far. I wanted some ghost stories, witch stories, etc. for getting into the mood for the upcoming season, and this one was a perfect choice! (I haven't seen the movie, so I'm not making any comparisons as I read.)

I'm loving this book! The ambiance is amazing. The story is a little bit magical, and the writing reflects that. There's a mystery to solve. Seriously, I'm loving this one so far!
